I'd like to see Isaac cover Tracy Chapman, maybe Give Me One Reason or Telling Stories.

I wish people would mind their own business. Let the gays worry about gay marriage and the heteros worry about over population.

You don't have to sacrifice lyrics to make a "fun" record. Personally, this album feels like diet coke. It feels very uninspired and frankly I think the overall sound quality of the tracks we have heard has been terrible. I get that they want to capture this whole "off the floor" live feel but that’s what a live album is for.

And as for the horns ... it's one thing to imagine horns on a song while you are in the song writing process, but it's an entirely different thing to have your album basically finished and think hmmm I want to do a Blues Brothers infused music video, let’s strap some horn on half the songs! It doesn’t add anything to the songs most likely because it was an afterthought to begin with. And didn't the Jonas Brothers have horns on their last album like big time? Yeah a breath of fresh air...

I rarely agree with their single choices. I think they normally go with their favorite song, not which song would appeal to the masses. I personally don't find this album catchy, I find it corny. But maybe that's what they are going for, who knows. I think if this album had gone the direction of world's on fire and use me up it would be more enjoyable. But oh well, I still preordered and I wont stop being a fan because of one album. But I think it's a step back musically for them.

I like the acoustic version better as well. I love the vocals on the studio one but I find the thunder to be a little distracting. I think it would have been better if they had added some drums in there, like with The Walk studio version.

whatever that background noise is it's very distracting.

I think by far this is actually one of my least favorite released songs from Hanson ever. The song does not even make sense.  The lyrics may make sense when you sit down and analyze them, but just listening to the song it is not clear what it is even about.  This song is definitely not going to attract more fans. It is so stop and go and does not flow together.  Just when I thought it was going somewhere good, the last few words of a line would be rushed as if it did not even fit but they made it anyways.  I usually enjoy Zac's songs (even though some of them are just off the wall ridiculous) howver I do not think this is his best work.  Some rides you like to ride over and over again, but this Musical Ride broke down half way through.

QUOTE: rocknrolling

She rocked it!

And oh, she's totally cute! Glad she got rid of that mohawk. She looked like a total lez :D

What exactly is wrong with looking like a lesbian? All the Hanson fans I know happen to be lesbians, so go figure. Maybe she is.

I've been trying to get my aunt into hanson for like the past five years. She's in her mid thirties and buys a lot of top 40 music. Her biggest complaint about Hanson is that Taylor whines WAY TOO much. I think there is a tendency to get too caught up in the melody and to over sing, often to the point where the words are not understandable at all. Add to this the fact that most of their songs are very wordy, much of the point is lost. I think they try to do too much a lot of the time. Sometmes less is more, especially if you are trying to attract new listeners.

You need TONS of money for the top spot

I think that would only happen if Hanson had a hit song and a successful album. Unless they created a buzz about themselves, I don't think the rest of the industry really thinks of them at all. Along with 90% of the world's music buyers.

No, Taylor is much more attractive. They look nothing alike sorry.

Member since: 2007-03-05 It was a good show. We got to sit before the show because there were actually chairs. And the set was longer than the event people said it was going to be. They played three songs off the new EP, Carry you there, Waiting for this and World's on fire. They seemed to have a lot of energy. And my gf managed to get one of Zac's drums sticks at the end of the show ... so yeah, good times all around.

I don't think the first verse of World's on Fire is correct. It sounds like:

Watch from a distance, beautiful

Somebody's caught in the undertow

Have you ever felt desperation?

As the salt water fills your lungs

Member since: 2007-03-05 I don't think they should change their name or stop playing certain songs. It's true though, they are on their own now which means they don't have big label money to throw at radio. Because we all know radio spins are not about quality of the product, you can tune in to most staions and learn that real quick. Even if Hanson had an AMAZING song of a single, getting it on the radio would still be a challenge. They might have more success thinking of themselves as a new artist and be an opening act for someone. I don't know who, but I'm sure there is someone out there that they would compliment. But I doubt that would ever happen.
