very much an april fool's joke that she thought was hilarious in her drunken state. seth wasn't amused. and she wonders why he doesn't really talk to her anymore.

i looked it up and it isn't unheard of. i'm just glad it's not true. i hate april fool's day.

being tortured and/or murdered.
dying alone.
losing my parents.
losing my job.
being homeless (although my parents will never let that happen to me).
hell

i'm hoping that it's just an april fools day joke, but if it's not... my feelings are mixed. so here's the scoop:

my boyfriend told me the other day that his mom has been puking every day for the last few weeks, and she was like, "i think i have cancer!" ok, that would suck because she doesn't have health insurance. but she's also an alcoholic and she has been taking medication with alcohol and that makes her sick... then today he called when he was at work  and was like, "um, honey? Mom just told me she went to the doctor today and she's 2 months pregnant." i was like "what the eff?! is she sure? she needs to stop drinking NOW."

this woman... she doesn't have a job, she doesn't have an income what-so-ever. she has been living with her alcoholic boyfriend who has been living off of unemployment for years. she herself is an alcoholic and she is a chain smoker. she can hardly take care of herself. she couldn't take care of seth (my bf) when he was growing up because she would always put her horrible abusive boyfriends in front of him. his grandma pretty much raised him. thankfully his father realized that he was missing out on fatherhood and got back into his life. butthis woman is 56 years old and can't take care of herself. we're going over to talk to her tonight when seth gets off of work, but i don't know if i'll be able to hold my cool because in my opinion, she sucks at being a mom. she lost her path and has no drive to find her way back to said path. i'm really hoping that if this pregnancy is the real deal, it will turn her life back around and she will take care of herself.

if the pregnancy goes full term and the child is healthy, part of me hopes she'll give the kid up for adoption because she is ill equipped. if she doesn't stop drinking, there will be serious issues. i don't think i have ever seen this woman sober. i would come home from work and look in the recycle bin and be like, "oh, barb was here. there's a beer can in here." she always complains about how it was difficult raising a kid with little help back in the 80s and 90s... now she has NO help and absolutely no income... it'll be even harder. espcially if there are complications. part of me hopes the doctor is on crack and she is just going through menopause.

seth is really excited, though. he's an only child... and 26. i wasn't expecting him to get a new sibling at 27.

i'm hoping for "April Fools!! hahahaha! my mom just got sick from drinking while taking antibiotics. she's not pregnant." 

my boyfriend is in a metal band, but first and foremost, he is a blues guitarist. it's the first style he learned how to play. his father is a blues musician, too... so i've been listening to a lot of blues lately. i really like stevie ray vaughan.

other than that, i love 80s rock/metal.

they should do an ICP cover album next!
my boyfriend is a juggalo, so in my opinion, hanson doing an ICP cover album would be hilarious. but this slipknot thing is silly, too. oh, hanson. way to fool me this april day.

i went out tonight. and the guy i like was there. and i gave him my digits. eeek!

we all respect taylor. but this thread is an Isaac Appreciation Thread. :) no disrespect to taylor or zac... this thread is a happy place to discuss how much we love and appreciate isaac. :D

i need to get out more, too. i went out last night, tonight, and i'm going out again tomorrow, i'm pretty sure. but tonight i left early because i was getting attention from a dude i wasn't really into, and had no interest in getting to know at all. i was just about to leave and this guy's friend was like, "hey! what do you think about that guy?!" and i was like, "um, what? i don't know." and he was like, "do you think he' hot?" first of all, how do you answer that? he wasn't "hot." and he wasn't "fugly" he was normal. average. and not my style. so i just said, "uh, i don't know. he's not really my style." and the guy was like, "what do you mean, he's not your style? are you single?" and i was like "uh. yes. currently, i am single. but there is a man in progress... someone in the works."

luckily they weren't creepy... i usually get the old creepy men. but i really do have someone i'm working on. i'm hoping to see him when i go out tomorrow night because i'm going to the bar that he hangs out at. the best part of it is, he doesn't drink. he just shoots pool and drinks sierra mist. and he has really long hair and he plays guitar. he reminds everyone of Taylor Lautner of Jacob Black in the first twilight movie... when his hair was long. and i'm good friends with the bass player in his band, so hooray!

wow. i wrote all that and it's not even relevent so i'm going to keep it there. i don't go out much. once in a great while. but i usually get uncomfortable when guys talk to me, because i'm really not interested.

i like some of her stuff, too. but they all sound the same after a while. Mine & Love Story... very similar.

when my friend and i were down in chicago seeing Tinted Windows, we went to Ragstock to shop around. i looked on the bulletin board and saw that Mastodon was playing in chicago that night, too. i was like, "ha. chels. mastodon is playing at such-n-such venue tonight. that's awesome." all we could do was laugh.

i, too, have been a rooney lover since Princess Diaries.

Robert really doesn't like talking about Princess Diaries, though. so if you can help it, please don't bring it up. lol. about five years ago, a bunch of stupid boys kept holding up copies of Princess Diaries in the crowd to be jerks, and their roadie (Ned's brother, Lucas) was like, swan diving into the audince to get the movie. it was awesome. made me giggle.

a couple of years ago, Rooney's old bass player Matt (he just left the band earlier this year. very sad) asked me how i got into Rooney because i've been going to their shows since 2003 (i first saw them with the donnas & ok go). i was like, "well... the princess diaries..." and he was like, "what? oh... you're one of THOSE fans?" lol. i should have said, "well, a few years ago, my dad and i were watching this movie on HBO Kids & Family called 'Aliens in the Wild Wild West..." (taylor locke had a short-lived career as a child actor. his dad is a producer. lol).

and to this day, Robert makes me feel like a 14 year old fangirl. it's bad. it has been almost ten years since i got into them, and i still can't hold a conversation because i'm too nervous. the one time i could have held a conversation with him, i was at EBE's record release party in LA, and he showed up with Ned & Matt... i just needed to talk to Carrick about something and i was standing in the middle of the room looking for him. Robert came up to me and started dancing and tried to get me to join him. i looked at him and said, "i'm not going to dance. i've been up for over 24 hours. i'm effing tired. i'm not drunk. i need to talk to carrick. where is he?!" 

my shows are in two weeks and i couldn't be more excited! i LOVE rooney!

i hate it when people just assume i need help. if i need help, i'll ask for help. seriously. gah. but when the guy is more like a slave? i don't like that.

if anything, i wait on the guy hand and foot. lol.

that's pretty awesome. even though i'm booked all week this week. i hope the stuff will be available for viewing later, too.
