To begin with, I am a huge Hanson fan and belong to the fan club. I was disappointed when listening to the broadcast this evening when Adam made a comment about Spina bifida. I am not one that is easily offended, however personally dealing with spina bifida causes me to feel that I should correct his humor towards this birth defect. Spina bifida is not an affliction that can come and go. It is a challenge throughout an individual's entire life. Also, having spina bifida does not mean that you are bedridden for a year as the host jokingly shared. I am fortunate to have earned an Associate's degree at my local college and am looking forward to putting my education to work. I love jokes as much as anyone else, but please be careful how you use what may be one person's birth defect that they have no control over in order to get a laugh. hotwheelschic88 |
