This is something I wrote after going to my first Hanson show in Tulsa a couple of years ago, and I figured since it's about the past, present, and future of being a Hanson fan, it would be fitting to share with you guys :) When we were kids you'd tell me stories
I recorded it and I have it posted to YouTube if you're interested in hearing it here (word of warning, I'm not the best singer around.) The Ballroom refers to Cain's, where I first saw them. I would post an explanation of the lyrics, but I think most of you would understand the meaning behind them them :) _____________________________________________________ 3/06/10 - I shook my tailfeather on Greenwood Avenue! |

QUOTE: Rusci10QUOTE: danimay815Last year we stayed downtown at the Hyatt and it was within walking distance of numerous resturants and shops Hanson recommended going to. The room was super super nice!! I'm sooo excited! Staying at the Hyatt with a friend too. Do you have you any recommendations of good restaurants/places to visit while in town? Dilly Deli is great, as well! They serve breakfast, too :) _____________________________________________________ 3/06/10 - I shook my tailfeather on Greenwood Avenue! |

QUOTE: echoQUOTE: LaurafaceI agree with you, I just didn't clarify that my statement was in regards to the whole,"do something with their lives," bit. I can kind of understand his point of view in the way that they HAVE busted their behinds for yeeeaaars to get where they are, but like you said, they also have a different lifestyle that isn't the norm for most Americans. People can work as hard as they want, but if you aren't willing to lie, cheat, and steal your way to the top, hard work isn't going to get you very far. Most of my jobs have been store-level jobs. Pay sucks, hours suck, benefits suck. Over-worked and under paid and you're expected to be SO GRACIOUS that you have a crappy job. I know lots of people who make it to the top without lying, cheating, or stealing. You can't judge everyone by a handful. I'm very thankful I have a job. I live below my means and have no problem paying my bills and my mortgage. People need to start learning how to save money and stay out of debt.
You know CEOs of companies that make billions in profits? "You can't judge everyone by a handful." Yes, I can. That's what the 1% comes from. That 1% of people, a hanful, that hold a majority of wealth in the country. "People need to start learning how to save money and stay out of debt." Just because YOU have a job that pays you enough to do that doesn't mean that OTHERS do. (People go to college to try to make a better future for themselves, and come out to a lack of jobs, and a pile of student loans and debt to deal with.) That's one of the points of the movement. Even if someone has a job, it doesn't mean that they're being paid well enough to meet basic needs. Companies are pulling in profits, and STILL laying off workers. Seems a little bit backwards to me. I don't understand why some don't see that these protesters are protesting not just for themselves, but for EVERYONE who isn't a suit in corporate company. It's so frustrating. The media will show just a bunch of hippies sitting around asking for handouts, because hey, who owns and runs the media? _____________________________________________________ 3/06/10 - I shook my tailfeather on Greenwood Avenue! |

Even though it's not as bad as others isn't an excuse for it to be the shape it's in now, though ;) _____________________________________________________ 3/06/10 - I shook my tailfeather on Greenwood Avenue! |

Yeah, like tessabus said, they were completely awesome to us when we saw them, very gracious and super sweet! They definitely deserve every bit of success that I'm positive is coming their way. :) The video is already near 8,000 views in two days! _____________________________________________________ 3/06/10 - I shook my tailfeather on Greenwood Avenue! |

QUOTE: ugaswkerQUOTE: hardygirlWow, way to care about America y'all...two responses? Really?
And didn't Zac at one point say that college students need to stop complaining and being lazy and go out and do something with their lives? Hmm, look who's changing history now... Yeah well that was very condescending and rude considering he has never had formal education...ever... or really ever had to live a "normal" life. Well, I also think a big part of the movement is, even if someone IS out there looking for a job, if they manage to find one, in most cases, they DON'T offer liveable wages. I mean, who can honestly live on minimum wage? You can maybe survive on it, but what kind of life is one where you're merely surviving? _____________________________________________________ 3/06/10 - I shook my tailfeather on Greenwood Avenue! |

Delta Rae, who opened up for Hanson in 2010, just released their first official music video today! They'll be releasing a studio album soon thanks to a successful kickstarter project, and their first single off of the album is, "Bottom of the River," full of stomps, claps, and chain rattles :D You guys should really, REALLY check it out. They also offer a FREE download of the extended version of the song listed in the video info. What're you waiting for? WATCH IT! Don't forget to share it, it's too good to keep to yourself lol _____________________________________________________ 3/06/10 - I shook my tailfeather on Greenwood Avenue! |

QUOTE: Malenan85Isn't it Zac saying those words "Do you wanna see something cool, do ya?" When was it and what was it about? I really can't remember... But I guess it was from the Tulsa, Tokyo and The Middle of Nowhere. Anyone remember? Yes ma'am, that's where I got it from :) _____________________________________________________ 3/06/10 - I shook my tailfeather on Greenwood Avenue! |

QUOTE: musicusgeekusTHAT IS SO AWESOME! I'm a good baker but I'm not that skilled. Did you make your own fondant? That is BA! You should post the recipe =) Yep, I actually DO make my own fondant (I've never tasted the store-bought stuff, but I've heard it tastes terrible). It's just made out of marshmallow and powdered sugar. It's REALLY messy, but the results are definitely worth the work. This is where I got my recipe for the fondant =) _____________________________________________________ 3/06/10 - I shook my tailfeather on Greenwood Avenue! |

As I promised, a red-on-white version of the shirt. I think I like this one better then the red one :) I'll probably also eventually make a red-on-black shirt as well, we'll see if I get bored enough. _____________________________________________________ 3/06/10 - I shook my tailfeather on Greenwood Avenue! |

Thanks, guys! They tasted good :) Ashley, that's um...weird. I thought the blue tasted a LOT better than the yellow ;) Also, Chris needs to admit that he likes their music, already, and be done with it. _____________________________________________________ 3/06/10 - I shook my tailfeather on Greenwood Avenue! |

I made some Shout It Out themed cupcakes. If you're interested to see how I made them, my friend Ashley took tons of pictures and put them into an album on Facebook. Please excuse the pictures of me being a goober, it was a long process and I was trying to keep us entertained lol _____________________________________________________ 3/06/10 - I shook my tailfeather on Greenwood Avenue! |
