To revive a semi-old post, there's hope! I was pleasantly surprised when I got on facebook today to see some folks raving about "Thinking 'Bout Somethin'!"

Apparently, my friend's cousin posted a link with this description:

I can't believe. It... it is Hanson... HANSON, PEOPLE... that has produced the first truely excellent peice of popular music in a long, long time. Hanson. Are you kidding me? I now hereby take back every joke I ever made about them. All of it. Hanson: you have made a song that I am eager to listen to multiple times.

My friend then re-posted the video with an equally surprised but positive reaction. Both were impressed with Weird Al, too. :)

So while there's still going to be that "Whaaaat?! Hanson?" reaction, I think more people will recognize their amazing talent now!

So ... how about I was talking to my brother after the concert and he said something like, 'with how much you've been talking about their new stuff, I'm afraid to listen because I think I'll like it.'

I'm sure he'll like this new CD. I'm gonna have him listen when I get it...

Proof that some people can at least learn to appreciate them. :)

My brother playfully teases me. I know he doesn't care about them, and he's actually the only one who can do things like that without it bothering me. I dunno why. I can only imagine it's because we generally have a similar taste in music but I know he's into some different styles than I am.

Mostly if I put anything up, I just get no response which also doesn't bother me. :) After 13 years, I'm far past the point of caring. It is annoying to see that it still happens, though. If you don't like it, don't comment, you know? There's no reason to make fun of anyone.

I remember once, a group of friends found out I loaned TTMON to someone, and when I got to her house they all sang "MmmBop" at me. *rolls eyes* I was just like, yeah so? and it got dropped. Haha. Mostly people are just surprised I like them since back then I was a "goth" of sorts.

Wow that was lots of rambling. The short of it is, that sucks and I hope they grow up enough to at least stop teasing. Maybe they can learn to appreciate Hanson!

Yeah, I actually meant to say something like that in my last post but I got distracted and forgot... haha. I agree, I think it's mostly concentration. That's just how he is, and drumming is INTENSE. :)

I agree, it didn't seem awkward to me. He looked kind of angry about it, and that's how I would still feel if someone did that to my brother! I can relate to that song reaaaaallllly well... it's something that, even if you're over it, can still affect you; and that's a powerful song.

Besides, Zac looked happier when Isaac was rockin' out. :P

I was thinking the same things! This is a band that truly cares and connects.

It hit me tonight that I've been a fan for most of my life - since I was 10 years old - and I just get more and more excited about them. It's amazing to think about all that time dedicated to one group! Amazing as always, they never disappoint.
