but I'm still excited to see them i saw that interview! i never usually watch leno cause he irks me a little too but i just happen to be watching that night and the girl from scott pilgram was being interviewed and she said she rented an apt from a guy that was on tour with hanson and then leno was like "what is it 1998" or some stupid comment like that. then ashton and the girl started singing mmmbop which was actually funny....but lenos comments irritated me too...cause i KNOW he knows hanson still performs cause they have been on late night tv very recently with thinkin bout something. so he was just being dumb. i dont appreciate people who know better still acting like hanson is old news...it puts the wrong impression off...that coulda been a great opprotunity for that girl to bring up her little story and have people realize "hey, hanson is still touring!" rather than just ignore it cause jay made that comment. anyways...thats my rant about that. BUT aside from that I am very VERY excited they will be on the show this coming week to premeir Give a little (im assuming) as the next single. going to watch with my butt glued to the floor 1ft away from the tv and my eyes glued to the tv for every singe second! (as i always do when they perfom on tv) To be fair, Jay leno makes his living by being a comedian who interviews famous people. he's going to say whatever he thinks will get a laugh. I'm not saying I like or condone his comments about Hanson, just that I get it. You don't have to give up completely, maybe he's just not ready to be your friend yet. Give it some time. Maybe leave him an open ended message, somewhere along the lines of "hey, it's me. I can understand that you don't want to talk but whenever you want to get together and hang out just as friends let me know. I look forward to hearing from you." And then leave it to him to contact you if he wants to be your friend. Honestly, if you seriously want to pursue a friendship with him then you shouly wait longer. This all (kind of) depends on how long you were together but he obviously needs more time. I'd give it at least another month or so. The way I see it, you are ready to be friends before him because you started to get over the relationship before it ended since you knew it was going to end. He still, obviously, needs time to get over you. Besides, you don't want to give him any kind of wrong signal by hanging out with him. I have a friend who tried to do the friendship thing too soon after breaking up with her boyfriend of 2ish years and it was a bit messy. They started hanging out too soon and she had the issue of him being attached and wanting to be with her even 3 years after the relationship ended. It has worked out better for everyone at this point but it was a little rough for a while because she didn't give him time to get over her.
