some lyric issues.  Anyone with siblings should understand, and this is a longer tour than normal, lots of time together!  (and most likely, no time with their own families, which I know puts me on edge!)   It will all be good, or at least we know they are professional enough to keep it from us!

Can you access all of the streams?  I really need to hear Hanson sing Lets Get it On again from the Portland Encore!  My membership ran out last month, and I was curious!

Yes, the higher the quality the bigger the file!  I took a lot off of CD's too (I'm known for buying CDs at garage sales for a dollar, putting them on the computer and throwing them away).   I didn't even think about it being the quality!

I have the 16gb, which should hold about 3000.  I can't fit my entire itunes folder on mine either (currently at 1600 songs without audio books, pics, video).  Before I go out of town, I have to take everything off so I can fit all of my music.  I have some really long songs, like Phish, Rush and Zeppelin, which I figured is a factor.  I think the stat that says how many songs it can hold is based on short songs.  Looking at the bottom bar on my itunes, It says, "1586 songs, 7.2 days, 14.52 gb."  Clearly short of the 3000 I anticipated. 

Since you have even less songs, and it claims to be taking more space, look at what you have put on there.  If you don't pay for your music, and bootleg a lot, those songs can be much larger than itunes files.  But other than that I don't know what to do either!  I will check back to see if anyone has ideas on how to fix this.  Good luck!
