QUOTE: PiscesFishThis is ridiculous. You lot are pretty hypocritical. Everyone complains about how people always only associate Hanson with MMMBop and that no one will ever give them a chance because of that so they go and play their new music and you all suggest they play something familiar. People are only familiar with MMMBop. What kind of response do you think they'd get if they showed up playing that song? At least this way they promoted their new music and if anyone actually did enjoy it then they enjoyed Hanson 2010 and not Hanson 1997. Actually, very few people in this thread have suggested that they play MMMBop and most of those suggestions have come from the same person over and over. The majority of us totally agree with you :) there's nothing left in this town for a rockerball rolling down 8/2/2010 ~ 8/23/2010 ~ 9/29/2011 |

QUOTE: soccergirlQUOTE: themayqueenQUOTE: wrongwayfeelingwith the new songs they did not gain any new fans today as nobody knew who they were. i was there give me a break i was hoping for a positve response You don't have proof of that, so you can stop saying it. New fans can include people who didn't previously know who they are. In fact, it most likely would. Did you ask every single person in the audience what they thought? No, you didn't. So you don't know that they didn't gain any fans. I can bet you that they did. How about you give us a break for pointing out the flaws in your argument and stop making more statements that are just logically wrong? thank you. i saw people there that really didnt know who they were and they liked it. themayqueen i was there too and saw something completely different. i spoke to those people and they told me that they didnt really know hanson but remembered mmmbop so they stayed. i do wish that they played mmmbop last but at the same time i can live without it. i would rather hear the new songs than mmmbop. doing what they did gave them a shot to make more fans for the new music other than just making people realize that they were "the mmmbop boys" it was a fresh start for them and they took it Your welcome! I'm glad to see I'm not the only person in this thread arguing my position. I wasn't there, so I can only judge by what I saw on twitter, but I really did see a lot of positive responses during the concert. And I think it really is best that they mix it up a little and do something unexpected -- that gets people talking, even if they aren't saying something totally positive. Any buzz is good! Plus, MMMBop really isn't one of my favorites lol there's nothing left in this town for a rockerball rolling down 8/2/2010 ~ 8/23/2010 ~ 9/29/2011 |

I think it's safe to say that we ALL want them to have a positive response, but we just seem to really disagree about how they can best go about doing that. But it's only been hours after this concert, and the album isn't even out yet, so there's no way for any of us to really know how this is all going to work out for them. But I think it's definitely too soon to say they've failed with anything they've attempted for this upcoming album. So far, it seems like everything they've done has gone well. there's nothing left in this town for a rockerball rolling down 8/2/2010 ~ 8/23/2010 ~ 9/29/2011 |

Again, what point are you trying to prove? I don't get what this has to do with Hanson at all. And no, you promote a new album by playing songs from the new album. End of story. there's nothing left in this town for a rockerball rolling down 8/2/2010 ~ 8/23/2010 ~ 9/29/2011 |

QUOTE: testathamAlso, If they had played MMMBop, alot of people may have gone, oh thats who they are, the MMMBop guys, and disregarded them and their new music, instead of hearing their new music and deciding if they liked them for that. Cause they get stereotyped alot for being the guys who did MMMBop by people who arnt fans. Exactly! I'm glad I'm not the only person who can see that they might have had a good reason for wanting to ditch MMMBop for one concert. Even if they had played it, they should have left it for last. That way people who just wanted to hear it would have had to stick around, and I bet they did anyway. there's nothing left in this town for a rockerball rolling down 8/2/2010 ~ 8/23/2010 ~ 9/29/2011 |

QUOTE: wrongwayfeelingTBS is a better studio song than live song So they should play MMMBop instead of their new single because you think the new single doesn't sound good live?
