I wish fans would stop feeling entitled to things such as responses from Hanson, and I wish fans would stop being exigent and insatible people.  It is bad enough that Hanson has to stay away from their families and deal with crazy fans.  There is not enough time in a day to reply to every singke person.  I have a famous friend and I'm not going to say who it is but if he answered ALL of his fan mail he would never have time for me and that time is important to me.

Fans kind of are entitled to something. Especially like at the MOEs and such when they fly thousands of miles to be there, they deserve at least a handshake and an autograph or something. Besides, randomly replying to some tweets every once in a while wouldn't kill them. All-Star weekend, in my opion, is way more famous than Hanson at this point of time, and I was shocked when after every single concert on their tour, they sat outside of the venue for hours to meet each one of their fans.

As far as, "It is bad enough that Hanson has to stay away from their families and deal with crazy fans" ... If it was so bad, they wouldn't be doing it. That's the business and that's what comes with being a musician. They choose to do it , so more than likely, it isn't that bad.

Fans may not be entitled to it , but honestly, i think that intimate connection with your fans is the only thing that will keep you in the business or keep going as an artist. Your fans make you who you are, and those "crazy fans" that they have to "deal" with are the same people who put money in their banks, food on their plates, and clothes on their backs.

All I can say is Hanson doesn't ask their fans to do things like fly thousands of miles to see them. Hanson invites their fans to partake in these events, it's the fans choice to go. The appreciation is the amazing show they put on when you arrive. They're appreciation shows in every FUTY they produce or album they create or tour they go on. The guys could tour like once every year or less but they're almost always touring. They offer new merch (whether some fans like the merch or not) quite often and in the past they've given their fans what they ask for. A handshake or a tweet might sound like something simple or easy to do but it's probably stretching them really thin. I think how things are now is pretty equal, Hanson gives their fans a lot and their fans give them a lot as well.

Also , I'm not exactly pertaining it to me , it's more for the people in the places where Hanson doesn't tour, or the people who don't get an opportunity to see them , it would just be nice for them , and I feel like they too, should have some sort of personal connection with the band, and I feel like social networking has made that way more available.

Well yeah , but they do ask fans to travel ...I remember it saying in the newsletter "prepare to travel". If a MOE is nothing more than a show, then that makes it no different than a regular concert, and they would be making this huge spectacular event for a typical concert. And heck ! really ? A handshake takes like a whole two seconds times about 500 people , thats 1000 seconds, which takes up ABOUT 15 minutes. I'm not saying it's necessary , but i think these little things would help. I mean, it really means alot for them to look you in the eye and tell you "Thankyou for coming" or something, it really would'nt stretch them that thin, unless they have horrible time managment, which in the case of "HANSON TIME" they may lol.

I feel like they would have to tour every year, those tours and events and stuff is what pays their bills, and alot of other bands i know that are on the same fame level as Hanson reply to tweets and stuff, even Justin Bieber and Haley Williams reply to tweets.

Hanson does give alot, I will agree with that. I guess I'm still aggravated, because at City Walk, every other artist came out and signed autographs and stuff, and the guys just didn't.
