Biography

Born and raised in Alabama, I've been a Hanson fan since I was 11 years old (when MMMBOP first came out!) Hanson created a bond between me and two other friends, with whom I am still friends with to this day! Their music helped me get through some very rough years of my life. At the time they came out, I was living with my mother and stepfather. My stepfather was an abusive alcoholic who would say and do things to hurt me every day, and I became very depressed and started cutting myself. When Hanson's Middle of Nowhere came out with its poppy, upbeat tunes and heartfelt lyrics, I was instantly in love! That summer, I practically lived at my friend's house and we lived and breathed Hanson. Her walls were wallpapered in posters from Tiger Beat and other such magazines, and we made video tapes filled with their music videos. Their music was my escape, and they helped me through life on days I felt like it wasn't worth living. I will always be grateful for their passion and love for what they do. Now at the age of 24, their music means more to me than ever, and they will forever be my favorite band.
