A Visit To Oliver Peoples

A couple months back during a short visit to the city of angles (Los Angeles), we were invited by the lovely folks at Oliver Peoples (@oliver_peoples) to check out their flagship store in West Hollywood on the famous Sunset strip and also got to visit their headquarters where they design all their frames and mastermind the vision behind their many beautiful glasses.

We love any company that takes pride in their work and has real passion for the products they put into the world. Without question Oliver Peoples lives by those principles, and since 1986 when brothers Larry and Dennis started the company with their first small shop in LA, their passion has been for quality and craftsmanship (which in our humble opinion they have managed to maintain).
Isaac has particularly carried the banner of OP love with a host of frames that he rotates between, so when he and I got to visit the office there was a healthy does of geek out. An extra perk of our visit to the OP offices was a look at their design studio where they keep vintage frames for inspiration and guidance, and we got to catch up with the man, Mr. Larry Leight, co-founder of the company. It was so great to get to talk shop with Larry and hear about some of his favorite frames and aspects of what he does. In the process, I got to share my love of design in great camera’s and might have passed a bit of my shutterbug syndrome to our new friend (here’s hoping). In honor of our little visit here’s a few pics. Thanks so much to Kari Adler who mans the @oliver_peoples twitter and web universe for inviting us into the fold, there’s more than a little love in HANSONland for OP.
