The End of the first leg of The Walk Tour
We started The Walk Tour off wanting to do more than just play concerts. We met up with Blake Mycoskie (founder of TOM’S Shoes) and came up with the crazy plan to walk one mile at every stop on the tour - barefoot.

Hamilton, CA... "Watch Me Bleed"
In the Artwork of "Live & Electric" there is a poem about music and the joy and pain that it brings. It says that music is live a blade that cuts you and you are scared for life, never the same (not literal OK!) and that no matter the pain you will keep on going. The poem is called "Watch Me Bleed" (inspired by the song "Rock 'n' Roll Razorblade", so it seems appropriate (in some strange /sick way) that at the live show in Hamilton Taylor took it literally when he did an aggressive slide across the keys of his Grand Piano... and accidentally cut open his finger. Damn!

On the last day we were with TOM’S we visited the city hall in Johannesburg. The plan was to meet with people from some of the different organizations and orphanages that the city has been supporting, and to go to one of the soup kitchens for children that is right outside of the city.
