"We Rocked The Walk"....On A Boat
Last week we had an amazing time playing music with friends and seeing familiar faces of music fans on the Rock boat. Amid the flury of rock shows,we also got to ROCK a Walk with hundreds. The water was so choppy we did not make it to shore, so we took our first official walk...on a boat.

Activism / A Note To Walkers
My New Family Addition - A Further Inspiration
We have been blown away as we have seen the walks that continue to be posted on TTW.net and hosted across the US and the world.
In the cold in small and large towns, many of you have taken the banner of the walks to new heights, THANK YOU.
I am especially inspired by the walks in our own town Tulsa - during a time when I have been laying low to welcome a new person into our family and the world. It encourages me to see such leadership right here at home.
Keep walking, and a warm Happy Holidays to all.

Activism / One Hundred Miles!
Today We Walked Our Hundredth Mile
Today we walked in Glenside PA. Like each walk no mile is the same, each one is a combination of different people and terrain, and different challenges presented by weather and other conditions. The purpose of these walks is that we can make a huge impact with our actions, simple actions, real actions. That difference has been made - one mile at a time.
Today we crossed a significant marker. It was our hundredth mile walk...WOW I cannot believe we have trekked so make times. We want to thank you , ALL OF YOU who have joined us since our first mile more than a year ago. The simple actions that have been taken from each walk, are not just isolated to a place or a time where a mile of ground was covered, the walks are a decision we have taken together - THOUSANDS OF WALKERS - and those miles are making real change possible - Shoes given, education provided, access to medical care provided. There is SOO much more to say, but tonight I am just going to say Thank you.
We will see you on the next mile in Asbury Park, another day another mile.

250 HIV positive mothers with life saving medical access
Thanks to the amazing walkers that have joined us so far as a part of the Take The Walk campaign - our first goal of providing access to doctors for 250 HIV positive mothers in Soweto South Africa has been reached!! amazing. That means that 250 children will have a much better chance of their mothers giving them a life free of HIV-because their mothers could maintain access to a doctor...through their cell phones.
As well - the walk in Pittsburgh was great!!

Thank you for checking out the Take The Walk section of Hnet. We have been blown away seeing many of you starting your own walks around the counrty and around the world to help make a difference for those living with the horrors of poverty and AIDS- you inspire us.
For a moment though I wanted to bring to light a short vid clip that might have gone unseen if I had not stumled back accross it recently. It is a vid from our last trip to Africa in November of last year. This vid captures a special moment, and one that brings to light the power of simple things.
