Official Rules

1.NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN.

2.ELIGIBILITY RESTRICTIONS: “A Song for You” sweepstakes (“Sweepstakes”) open to all persons who have internet access and are 13 years or older at the time of registration for the Sweepstakes on Hanson.net.

Employees, officers and directors (including, immediate family of employees, officers and directors) of Hansonomix, LLC or 3CG Records (“3CG Records”) as well as any affiliated company, subsidiary, distributor, dealer, retailer, co-sponsoring companies and/or any contractor associated with 3CG Records and/or this Sweepstakes, or any other affiliated promotion are not eligible to participate. All Sweepstakes entries must comply with the requirements of these official rules to be eligible to participate.

3.ENTRY DATES AND DEADLINES: Sweepstakes opens at 10:00 a.m. Central Standard Time on June 22, 2007 and closes at 10:00 a.m. Central Standard Time on September 12, 2007

4.TO ENTER:  To enter the Sweepstakes, you must register for the Sweepstakes on the Hanson.net website. By participating, entrants agree to abide by these official Sweepstakes rules.

5.GENERAL CONDITIONS:  Limit one registration per individual. Registrants are provided tools in the form of “banners” uniquely assigned to the registrant from the Hanson.net site. The banners can be copied and placed in locations of the registrants choosing. The registrant is given credit for all activity directed to the Hanson.net site through those official uniquely assigned banners. The more activity the registrant’s banners direct to the Hanson.net site the greater the credit the registrant has in the Sweepstakes pool. The activity is monitored by use embedded coding in the banners you place. Winners are selected at random from the Sweepstakes credit pool. Registrants with the greatest credit in the Sweepstakes pool have the highest probability of being selected as a winner.

Neither Hansonomix, LLC d/b/a 3CG Records nor its agencies are responsible for lost, late, damaged, misdirected, illegible, incomplete entries, interrupted or unavailable network, server, Internet or other connections, miscommunications, failed phone or computer hardware or software or telephone transmissions or technical failures, garbled or jumbled transmissions or other errors of any kind, whether human, mechanical or electronic or for exposure to computer viruses or for damage to participant’s computer by accessing any or all domains associated with HANSON or 3CG Records.

Without limiting anything to the contrary contained herein, 3CG Records makes no warranty that any particular software program will function as required for this Sweepstakes. Personal information supplied on registration forms will be used to communicate with participants about this Sweepstakes, for market research, and to send information about 3CG Records events, releases and other news and promotions that 3CG Records’ may judge of interest to participant. 3CG Records reserves the right to cancel or modify the Sweepstakes if fraud, technical failures or any other factor beyond 3CG Records reasonable control impairs the integrity of the Sweepstakes as determined by 3CG Records in its sole discretion. 3CG Records reserves the sole right to extend the deadline of the determinations of the winners for one extension period of thirty (30) days.

3CG Records reserves its rights to verify eligibility qualifications of any entrant and to disqualify any entrant found, in its sole discretion, to be tampering or otherwise interfering with this Sweepstakes. Any entrant found to be misrepresenting themselves through the use of aliases and/or addresses or an entrant’s submission of mass entries and/or reproductions will be disqualified. Except where prohibited by law, by participating in this Sweepstakes, you are granting 3CG Records, and those acting under its authority, permission to use your name, photograph, voice and/or likeness for advertising, publicity and/or other business purposes in connection with the Sweepstakes without compensation. This Sweepstakes shall only be construed or evaluated by U.S. law.

6.SELECTION OF WINNERS: Eleven (11) winners will be randomly selected from pool of registrants. The first selection will win first prize, the next five (5) selected will win the second prize, the final five (5) selected will win third prize. All persons who enter the Sweepstakes will be emailed a copy of the song written for the first prize winner at the conclusion of the Sweepstakes.


7.NOTIFICATION:  Winners will be notified by e-mail by the close of business September 19, 2007. Winners will have forty-eight (48) hours from the date of attempted notification to respond to the notification via e-mail to acknowledge they have been selected. In the event that any Winner does not respond to the notification within this forty-eight (48) hour period, that Winner will be deemed to have forfeited his/her prize and a new winner will be selected at random from the Sweepstakes pool. The Winner of the first prize will be asked to submit information about themselves to HANSON as material and inspiration for the song. The song will be completed by HANSON and released at an appropriate time during the promotion of The Walk album, to be determined at the sole discretion of 3CG Records and HANSON. Neither 3CG not Hanson is responsible for late, lost or misdirected notification.

8.PRIZES: The first place winner will have a song written about them by the band HANSON. [For clarification, the song is written to honor the winner but the composition and Master recording remain the property of HANSON and 3CG Records respectively.] The five second place winners will each receive a pair of tickets and an opportunity to meet the band at a concert of their choice exclusively during The Walk Tour during 2007. The five third place winners will each receive iPod shuffles pre-loaded with the new HANSON album, The Walk. No prize or cash substitutes allowed. No transfer or assignment of prizes permitted, except that 3CG reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the prize is unavailable. Taxes (if any) on the prize and any other expenses (other than shipping of the prize) are solely the responsibility of the winner. Neither 3CG nor HANSON is responsible for late, lost or misdirected prizes and is under no responsibility to replace said prizes.

9.CLAIMING PRIZE: Winner will be required to sign and return to 3CG a notarized Affidavit of Eligibility (herein “Affidavit”) and Liability and Publicity Releases (herein “Releases”) within three (3) business days of notification. Affidavits and Releases sent via facsimile will be accepted in order to comply with the referenced time constraint but the original must be mailed to 3CG contemporaneously. In the event that any winner cannot be contacted, does not meet the eligibility requirements, or fails to return a complete, notarized Affidavit and Release within the specified time period, the winner will be deemed in 3CG’s sole discretion, to have forfeited his/her prize. Unclaimed or forfeited prizes will be awarded to an alternate winner determined by random drawing from the remaining eligible entries.

Except where legally prohibited, by accepting the prize, Winner grants permission for 3CG, and those acting under its authority, to use without restriction, his/her name for advertising, publicity and/or other business purposes in connection with the Sweepstakes without additional compensation.

10.Winner(s) agree that 3CG Records, HANSON and its affiliated companies, parents, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, and all of their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives, and agents will have no liability whatsoever, and will be held harmless by Winner for any liability for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind to persons, including death, and property resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from the acceptance, possession, misuse or use of the prize, or participation in this Sweepstakes.

11.RULES: Entrants are encouraged to print out a copy of these official Sweepstakes rules for future reference.
