HNotes FAQ
What is HNotes?
HNotes is the "Official On-Line Magazine" of Hanson.net. Published the first of every month HNotes began it's journey in early 2003 and over the years continues to grow. The mandate of HNotes is to offer a truly "international" magazine which includes music focused features related to Hanson, mainstream and the "indie" music scene. We also include some great "extras" including Poetry, Art Gallery, special holidays and events. Hanson fans are absolutely encourage to participate in our magazine.
Participation
How do I contribute to HNotes?
We have a number of ways you can participate including:
Poetry
Poems can be send to hnotes@hanson.net Submissions are to be "G" rated and please no fan fiction.
Art Gallery
If you enjoy, painting, drawing, sketch or other type of artwork, please feel free to send us photos of your craft. We also encourage special photography (such as nature photos) and graphics! Photos are to be no larger than 550 pixels width and to be in .jpg format. If you have a website with other pieces of your artwork, send us one sample photo and then the link to your site. We can include this into the magazine as well. Please send these submissions to: hnotesart@hanson.net.
Collections
If you like to collect anything (can be stamps, dolls, other music related items for example) we'd be delighted to see your collections! Please send a photo of your collection (no larger than 550 pixels in width) along with a short write up to hnotes@hanson.net. We are looking for non-Hanson related collections at this time. Collections will be posted quarterly in H.notes.
Special Event Graphics
In HNotes we encourage graphics and usually have this type of work profiled for special holidays, (including, Valentine's Day, Easter, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hannukah, Kwanzaa) just to name a few. We also highlight each Hanson member's birthday, Hanson Day and a number of others special occasions. If you'd like to get creative and submit graphics for any of the above, that would be great! Graphics are to be no larger than 550 pixels in width and preferences is in .jpg format. Please send to: hnotes@hanson.net.
CD Reviews/Concert Reviews
If you have a new cd and would like to review it for HNotes, that would be great! Also same thing goes for any recent concerts you may have attended. Reviews especially for concerts, should be it bit more detailed and provide a personal account on your experience of the show. Word count for reviews is maximum of 500 words for each submission and can be sent to hnotes@hanson.net.
Articles
If you have an article you've written and would like to submit it for H.notes, please send it to us! Submissions are to be no more than 1000 words. Also if you have an idea on an article you'd like to write for H.notes, that's great! Please feel free to email us hnotes@hanson.net.
HNotes Monthly Survey
Each month in H.notes we feature a different survey in the magazine. Most times the topics are around music related issues, and other times can be quite general in nature. We encourage you to visit our Survey section each month to weigh in on the topic of the month. Survey results are posted in the following month's issue. If you have ideas on an interesting survey you feel should appear in H.notes, feel free to email us at: mlsurvey@hanson.net.

Do I have to be a staff writer to contribute to HNotes?
No, you don't have to be on staff to participate in the magazine. We absolutely welcome Hanson fans participation and over the years more fans are contributing each and every month.
