Y'all... for real...

Maybe I'm just a horrible fan, but you guys sometimes get too offended over stuff like this.

He doesn't know his facts, that's all. He obviously just has his opinion, that's all.

Not a horrible fan at all. Madam.

Friedman has been a gossip columnist for almost 30 years, and while he's fine at movie and TV gossip, he seems to be completely clueless about anything that is dated after 1980 or so. People are correct - he doesn't think sometimes before he says and does things. Case in point - he was fired from FoxNews.com's 411 column for reviewing the still-unfinished Wolverine movie on a bootleg he downloaded...and he admitted it in his column...even though Fox was the movie's parent company. And then he was clueless about WHY they fired him..

Thanks to all for Shoutin' It Out and letting Friedmann know he was wrong - you don't diss my boyz and get away with it...heh heh heh...

Hanson may not top the charts today like they did in ’97, but they were certainly no flash in the pan. If anything, the band should be commended for their success. Despite being on their own indie label, they still play sold out shows that get great reviews. The video for their new single went viral on YouTube and inspired flashmobs across the country. If you had researched what Hanson is doing today, you would know they actually have a huge fanbase.

By comparing the future Justin Bieber to the current Hanson, you’re actually saying Justin Bieber will evolve musically and continue to be a success. I don’t think that’s the message you were trying to get across.

haha I just responded to the "apology"

i didn't copy what I put though, something about getting your facts right because in a normal 9 to 5 you'd get your ass whipped for being so careless and uninformed and "you "writers" should take a little more pride in your "job"" hahaha

usually I hate it when loads of fans go nuts at someone for not liking Hanson but this guy deserves it because he is a fool.

My thoughts on "the Biebs"....He can go fall off a cliff.  lol

No, I'm only joking...slightly.

I'm not leaving him a comment, but I'm appalled that HansEn are being compared to him.  Now, HansOn on the other hand...guess they are cleared of being compared, because he clearly stated HansEn.  Not Hanson.

Yeah, I was trying to be funny.  I think I failed.  lol

I don't like it when people try to rip off Hanson. That said, Justin Bieber is cute and sounds great. In terms of looks (don't shoot me) he also reminds me of Zac

so you have seen what Zac looks like, right?  Ok, well if you see a resemblence, you see one.  Cool I don't but that might be due the fact that every time I see JB's face, my mind emmediately draws horns and he starts to look a lot like this

So this genius has a new "article" most of us have replied, but just incase you missed it.
http://www.showbiz411.com/2010/09/02/hanson-may-have-fans-but-theyre-not-buying-cds/comment-page-1#comment-13871

My dear Hanson fans:

You are a devoted group but you’re not buying CDs.

According to Nielsen Soundscan, the new Hanson album, “Shout it Out,” has sold a paltry 31,000 copies.

The most recent one before that was called “Walk.” Total sales to date from 2007: 54,000 copies.

The days of “MMMBop” are long since passed. This doesn’t mean Hanson are not talented musicians. It’s just that their day in the sun has come and gone. This can be said for plenty of acts. I wish them well in all their endeavors.

A lot of us have already replied... and a lot of replies contend that it's not the album sales that generates money for the band... it's really a side note... so this was my reply

Forget where the money comes from, guys… the point here is that album sales are down across the board from Hanson to Kesha to Lady Gaga to Maroon 5. CD sales are down thanks to internet downloads (not tracked on Neilson Soundscan) and piracy. In this time frame 31,000 isn’t “paltry”. It’s enough to be #2 on the indie charts and #30 on the Billboard 200. And I’d say that for any band, fan or not.

Again, thanks Friedman for the promotion. And thanks for going ahead and proving that you know nothing of the current workings of the music industry. Oh and while we’re at it, couldn’t you just let a man rest in peace and leave Michael Jackson alone. I don’t know how you look yourself in the mirror, sir.

This guy knows better than to attack Hanson, but every time he tries to dis them while not attacking them personally he makes himself to look more and more of a fool. Sigh, I eat idiots like him for breakfast... it causes heart burn. Cool

mine is the reply from "Leonna," which, naturally, is not my real name.

No, I won't tell you all what blog I co-author, but leave it to say that I have more comments on my most recent entry than he does in his entire first page...

You always want to CATER to your fan base (which, in his case, are musicans and their fans, as well as fans of that dear ol' Perez Hilton), not ignore them or insult them!

Between the last two records, I'd say 85k record sales at $15-20 a pop is nothing to sneeze at! Financial support from the fans is just necessary in terms of quality of life issues and making more music.

I still feel if people are going to write on Hanson they should at least do their research before hand. I mean isn't that the point of any type of column? I thought it was as I'm in a journalism class.

That's all I'll say to that, other than the fact that he spelled Hanson wrong.

"The first music that you really fall in love with is more than just music." Taylor says, "Its something that clicks in you, beyond the song, it's a message or image that causes you to jump in and not let go."-(Taylor Hanson)

Yeah I agree with a lot of you. I was telling people at work how I saw hanson the other day and their response was, "Hanson? Like MMMBop Hanson? Man they're still touring and around?" Lol.. Some people just don't know.. But you know what, who cares? Hanson will alway be around especially with the support and following of us fans. It was a really long time since I saw Hanson up until recently. When Hanson showed up on stage, I felt 13 again.. The crowd was screaming at the top of their lungs. I was so amazed! Hanson has such passionate fans still. And regardless of what others say, what you don't hear on the radio or see in magazines like back in '97, Hanson will continue to grow with the fan base they do have. People are going to realize Hanson will still be successful in years to come. - Ann
