First, let me just say that I LOVE Hanson and have been a loyal fanson since 1997 when I was in 8th grade. Epcot on the other hand, I'm not liking quite so much. For a family of four (me, my husband who attends all Hanson concerts with me, and our two girls) to go to Epcot for ONE day is almost $300 just to get in the door!! Exactly how the *bleap* do they expect people to afford that crap?!?! I'll be attending the St. Pete show and if I'm lucky, ONE of the shows at Epcot. We're going to be on vacation in Orlando that week, which is rather convienient but it does mean that we do have to bring the girls so no saving cost by leaving them behind. I really would have LOVED to get to attend both Epcot shows but alas, four 3 day passes (there is no 2 day as far as I can tell) for my family would cost over $500. This is so frustrating...and quite disappointing. Hanson, you could not have picked a more expensive venue for your fans. I really wish they would have just stuck with the House of Blues. Two dates THERE would have been affordable. Meh. =( BTW, I would entertain the idea of just going alone if not for two things. I'd basically be abandoning my husband and kids for two days out of the one week vacation we have for this year (not very cool of me I would think) AND I'll be about 8 months pregnant at the time of the concert. Anyone else in a similar situation or just feeling disgruntled/dissapointed about the Epcot shows? |

My original plan was to go to the Epcot shows, until I figured out the money and logistics of the whole thing. I've given up the Epcot idea and just decided to go to the ATL and Charlotte shows instead. Saves me about $400 in the long run, if not more. It IS frustrating! *Alecia* "when you can't get through it, you can listen to it" <3 9.10.2007 - Nashville, TN 8.3.2010 - Nashville, TN *Took The Walk*

We went to Disney back in April...just to the magic kingdom and decided we'd def. be back sometime later in the year! My hubby, 3 year old and myself will be going to all the parks. We are buying park hoppers so I can catch each set they play, It would be cheaper to just go to ATL but my daughter has already been promised Disney. Is there any extra cost for the food and wine fest. or just regular park fees? |

Of course, if you do want to try some of the food or wine, you'll have to pay for each item - or if your tickets include the Disney Dining plan, a snack credit can be used to purchase some of the items! :) Hope that helped! |

I think people are being to harsh. (not just in this thread but all of them about Epcot) Hanson have families too, and where I know they love making music they also have families to provide for. Therefore, if they can play a show or 2 at Epcot and get paid for doing it, PLUS have there kids take a little vaca to Disney, I have no problem with it.
Just trying to add a different persective. Music is their love and also their source of income, they do what they have do, ya know? ♫♪Singing along to feelin' alright♫♪ Twitter: Jentastik |

What a nonsense topic this is haaha. They don't play those shows for the fans and they aren't real hansonconcerts. Its a great opportunity to play there and introduce themself to a much wider audience. So they didnt pick this 'for their fans'. No they picked it cause they got a invite and its a great marketing opportunity for their latest album. * |

I've tried to tell people who want to go to these shows that it's expensive. And nobody wants to listen. I'm fortunate enough that UCF offers students discounted park tickets. It cost me $112 for two tickets. (It's $84 and change per ticket at the gate.) |

The CEO reaches across and takes 11 cookies, looks at the tea partier and says,"look out for that union guy, he wants a piece of your cookie."

I would love to go if we weren't already going in September. But seriously only reason to play and wine and food fest is to get some of the food and wine :P A unionized public employee, a member of the Tea Party, and a CEO are sitting at a table. I wasn't going to go to see the show in Epcot either because last time I went there a couple of years ago I HATED it and it was a waste of 70 bucks!! But I'm glad they are coming to S. FL so I don't have to worry! "Everybody love me, I'm PUFF BROCCOLI!!"

I absolutely love Disney, and we have a family trip there yearly in November/December. I decided to push it up, just so that I wouldn't be making two November trips.
As someone else said, it really isn't all about the Hanson concert. It is about experiencing the food from different countries. The music is just an added bonus :P
I think it's all on how you look at it. They're offering free dining when Hanson's going to be there. Sure, you might pay full price on the room, but when you figure in that the quick-service dining plan (value resort), or basic dining plan (moderate resort or above), is $30 or $42, respectively, per adult, per night, that kind of savings can add up. Not to mention with the QSDP, you get two snacks per night. Say you stay 5 nights, that's 10 snacks - which are redeemable for food around the world ;)
Don't get me wrong, I understand that if you're strictly going for Hanson, it WILL NOT be worth it and will be expensive. But if you go to Disney World with the expectation of a super awesome family vacay, it works out well. Just remember, the longer you stay, the less you spend to play per day. :) I'm sorry you're disappointed - but for me, this is something I'm REALLY looking forward to. Hanson + Disney World = dream come true for me :) |

The epcot shows are much more expensive than a regular tour show. You could proably go out of state to see a show cheaper than it would be to go to both Epcot shows. |

You could always bring a nanny on the trip! I went on many trips in my teen years as a baby sitter. I always just stayed in the hotel room with parents and the children, hotel and meals was my payment for babysitting. While you and the hubby hit up Epcot for the food and wine fest, the nanny and kids hang out at the hotel pool! Just a thought! Epcot is really the least "family" of the parks and usually younger children aren't nearly excited about it as they are the other parks... This way you and the hubby are able to enjoy vacation together at night and have family time during the days! *8-6-98* *10-18-00* *7-27-04* *10-03-08* *4-03-09* *10-27-09* *8-03-10 (M&G)* Never been a reporter.

They also have a child care program and have a recommend in room baby sitting service that doesn't come from the parks but comes highly recommended. A unionized public employee, a member of the Tea Party, and a CEO are sitting at a table. In the middle of the table there is a plate with a dozen cookies on it. The CEO reaches across and takes 11 cookies, looks at the tea partier and says,"look out for that union guy, he wants a piece of your cookie."
