So i went to a Jonas Brothers concert tonight and it was really good, i wasnt really a fan to begin with but now i really respect them they put on a very good show. but hanson concerts are still my favorite i love the feeling at hanson concerts that they are singing to me because the venues are smaller and more intimate. im going to see hanson in a few weeks in Indy i cant wait!!

JB are great guys and they definitely put on good shows!  I'm glad you enjoyed it :).  I've met them a few times, got to spend some time with them, and they are very genuine, really sweet, down to earth young men.  I met them long before Disney ever came into the picture, when they were struggling on Columbia Records, and I met them in the middle of the Disney craze.  They hadn't changed one bit.

They are definitely talented musically... I feel like they may be focusing too much energy on television and movies and whatnot lately, rather than their music.  But I'll always love and respect them-- if for nothing more than what great people they are.

of course no one ever compares to Hanson. lol.  and the intimate venues were not always the case.  Ike, Tay, and Zac needed WAY bigger venues back in the day than JB have ever needed.  I remember that mania very well... I've never seen anything like it.  I am a much bigger fan of the smaller shows these days.  It was just frightening in the MON days for little 9-year-old me. haha

9-11-98 Albany (my first concert ever!) , 7-20-04 Hampton Beach (met Zac and Taylor) , 4-22-08 Clifton Park (met Zac again) , 7-27-10 Sayreville (incredible show! and got to meet Taylor)   :)

I've never really liked them. I always thought they were kind of annoying and I don't like when people compare them to Hanson...but that's just me. I've never been a big fan of anything "Disney"...I'm a Nickelodeon girl (23 years old and I admit to watching iCarly) so I love Drake Bell, Miranda Cosgrove, etc.

I respect them and while I've never seen them in concert and don't like all of their stuff, some of their stuff isn't bad.

I have to say I think Nick's side project with the Administration was better than their cds released with Hollywood Records but that's because it had a more mature feel to it and fit the style of music I like now.

I've heard pretty much all of their stuff due to the fact that I've got younger cousins who like them, but most of their music doesn't appeal to me.

"The first music that you really fall in love with is more than just music." Taylor says, "Its something that clicks in you, beyond the song, it's a message or image that causes you to jump in and not let go."-(Taylor Hanson)

I used to be so obsessed with them. I became a Jonas Brothers fan a little while before they got really famous: I noticed the transition around the time their 2nd CD came out (their 1st one is really rare, they did get dropped by Colombia after all). Instead of the usual, "Who are the Jonas Brothers?" response I got when I mentioned them, everyone knew who they were. Anyway, It's been quite a while now that I haven't been obsessed with them. I still like their music and like others said, "respect them". I went to two Jonas Brothers concerts in 2008 while I was obsessed. I've never been to a Hanson concert and I want to go to one so bad! I love them so much more than the Jonas Brothers now. I didn't even know who Hanson was until I started listening to the Jonas Brothers (in 2006) because my brother mentioned them. I listened to some of Hanson's stuff and I liked it, but I didn't REALLY get into their music until about 2 months ago. I went through a music transition, because when I started listening to the Jonas Brothers I was at the beginning of High School and now I'm graduated. My interests changed so much in that time. Anyway, I think my Jonas Brothers obsession was mostly fueled by the excitement of cute boys around my age in a band, they have catchy music, but that's not what it was mostly about. I wasn't as open to Hanson that few years ago, I was caught up on the "embarassment" factor that seems to cling to them. Now I've gotten over that and I love their music. I definitely can see how Hanson is compared to the Jonas Brothers, it's not the music, I think it's more so the fact that they are a band made up of 3 brothers who started out young and all the tween/teen girls went crazy about.

Wow, I rambled... :P

Never obsessed over the Jonas Brothers but I did take my daughter and her lil friend to see them last summer?  Or was it the summer before?  Anyway, I thought they put on quite a show and I enjoyed it as did the girls.  Good luck to them.  Presently, my daughter's not into them - ahhh youth - she's more into Taylor Swift and the like.

I don't mean any harm but I have to say, Demi Lovato, the Jonas' opener did not impress me at all.  :(

I like their music. Or I LIKED their music. They seem to be doing great with their music careers, I could hear them growing up through their music, and they seemed to want to continue and experiment with it. Now, though, I believe they're sellouts to Disney. The music is on the back burner, and it sounds like the usual Disney junk that is put out by every other Disney star.

I've never liked them being compared to Hanson. The only thing they have in common is they're both bands of brothers. That's it. 2 totally different sounds.

Slow down, sparky....haha!

Met Zac and Ike on 11-12-10! Thanks for the awesome memories, guys!

I'm a huge fan of the Jonas Brothers, I just say them live last week and it was an amazing show. I think their music is great, I've been a fan since the "Jonas Brothers" cd came out and have been a fan of the music and them ever since.

Funny Hanson/Jonas Brothers story...

My best friend is a huge Jonas Brothers fan and I of course Hanson. So we made a deal that I would go see Jonas Brothers with her and she would go see Hanson with me. So I won a meet n greet with Hanson for the Chicago show right before we went to see Jonas Brothers. After the show we were waiting to see Jonas Brothers' bus leave. A little girl came up to me, she was about 7- my age when I started loving Hanson- and asked me, "Are we going to meet the Jonas Brothers right now?!" and I reply to her, "No there bus is going go by though, and you'll get to see them and wave to them." She gets all excited and lets out a big "COOL!" But because I believe in her fandom I reassure her by saying, "Don't worry though, in about 13 years, if you still love them and if they're still around, you'll get to meet them!" She goes "Thirteen years?!" I tell her about how I was her age when I loved Hanson and how I waited thirteen years and how I'm meeting them in a week from then. Her mom smiles and winks at me and goes "No honey, you'll meet them tonight, you won't have to wait."...Way to lie to your kid lady.

Anyway, at the meet n greet I told Taylor and Isaac about the little girl encounter and they laughed and said "Way to give that girl hope and crush her dreams at the same time!" So they thought it was funny, which was cool.

Side note: My friend that I made the deal with left the Hanson concert a huge fanson and listens to them all the time. I left Jonas Brothers a little hot and bothered by Joe, but not too satisfied with the music.

14 shows   3 walks   14 years and counting...

Are You Listening?

I saw the Jonas brothers not too long ago because our Pastor is good friends with their dad and invited them to sing for our church on Easter (which was held in a completely packed Anaheim Angels Stadium!) and they were very good! :)
