I was just thinking- they had a poll last tour about which song to cover as the encore. How about seeking ideas from fans on who to have open for them? I know one band I would LOVE to see open for them, otherwise I would NEVER get to see them live (LOL) and that would be Ceesau.

i would love to see Gavin Degraw or even Jason Mraz, especially since he is a prankster but since they are kinda big names i would think they would have to do a co-headliner like they did with HelloGoodbye, but as far as local stuff when they come to St. Louis they should have OurFirstSummer open for them.

I'll say it once, I'll say it again and I'll say it over and over and over until it happens. Honor By August should open up for Hanson. They won the contest back in 2005 to open up for them at their sold-out show at the 9:30 Club in DC. Since then, HBA has headlined the same venue five times. Plus, my friend and I made promo CDs to hand out to Hanson fans at the DC MOE and the Baltimore and DC shows this past tour and everyone I've talked to who received a CD said that they love the music and that they're really, really good.

Besides having really awesome music the guys themselves are incredible guys. They're fun and they really care about their fans. I could go into detail about some things concerning that, but I told them I would keep certain things private. If you ever see them in concert you can clearly tell that the guys are friends and are having the time of their lives dong what they do! I saw Gavin play in Myrtle Beach one year when he opened up for Maroon 5. He was AWESOME. What you get on the cd is what you hear live. I hate going to concerts where their voices get technically enhanced and then they sound like crap live.

They should have a contest where local bands all over submit a video of their band and then the fans can pick who they want to come on tour.

Didnt they do something like that for one of the tours.... 05 maybe? For some reason I am thinking that they have before but they definatly sure, us fans would love to have some input on things like that, and voting is always fun.

They did do that for their Live & Electric tour in 2005. They had bands who had at least one member at a local college or university submit a video or music, and then Hanson decided on three finalists for each city. It was then up to the fans who opened up in each city.

I think it would be awesome if they did something like that again but left it open to just local bands instead of bands who happen to have a member in a local university.

Haha every thread like this that I see, I post about Cavashawn!  They're super!  What's even better is they actually kinda like Hanson, LOVE Hanson fans, and WANT to tour with Hanson!  True story: I actually found out about them when they were passing out tour flyers outside the Chicago HOB before a Hanson show!  They even took the walk with us!

I agree!  Reece, then Cavashawn!  Seabird would be another good one, but they'd have to work on getting set up a little more quickly...

Who else has heard of Butch Walker? He's actually quite a fan of Hanson...very cool guy. I was introduced to his music through a couple of friends I met at the last Hanson show I went to. He is AMAZING.

...Um, I meant to follow that up by saying that Butch Walker would be amazing as an opening act for Hanson. Haha.
