Well I want to win a million bucks, but neiter of those things is probably going to happen. Not because their not good enough, I think they are some of the best musicians out there, but any more the music biz is a game and hanson doesnt play by there rules. Stranger things have happened though, so I suppose one can always hope.

the INDIE charts might be a possibility.

but with them being an indie band with little to no support, getting them to #1 on the regular music charts, just isn't going to happen.

It would be amazing if they could be #1 on the independent charts but it's not something I would worry about.

What I think is more important for Hanson is that the new music brings them a lot of new fans. Every new CD has done that so far because many new people join the site when they hear Hanson's new music.

But at the same time that the new music makes alot the fans they already have, love it and be excited about it.

in order to gain hanson a top spot we all need to our bet promoting the band an their music. one way or another hanson will reach that top spot we as fans just need to work hard to promote, promote, promote.

It would be awesome if Hanson would be number one on the charts. Im not gonna say its not goin to happen bc u never know but it is doubtful that it will but maybe if enough pple get converted to Hanson it would happen. If i had the money iwould buy alot of copies to try to get them there but i dont have that kind of cash lol but i will be praying and hopin that it will happen lol.

It will take multiple factors for Hanson to be high on the charts. Gaining more fans is a big part of it.  The more that people like their music the more it gets requested and heard. Along with the fans promoting their new music as much as possible like xxfmunozxx mentioned.

Supporting them in anyway we can and them promoting the new music all over always helps.

It doesn't take money to get your songs on the radio. I was listening to a radio station one morning and they said that it's actually illegal to pay a radio station to play your songs, even though some musicians claim that's how they get their songs on the radio. If you are good enough, radio will play your songs on their own. ADVERTISING is what pays radio, not the actual artists. I don't know why Hanson has told us that before, but it's not accurate. At least, I personally don't believe it to be, mostly because it doesn't make any sense.

It costs money to send our your record to the different radio stations and then travel to all of them and meet with the radio execs and interview and such to try to get your song on the radio. The last number I heard was around $100,000 to send enough out to radio stations. If they never play it and it doesn't become popular, then all that money is lost.

Yes, It is illegal for labels to pay to put their artists on the radio. But labels are still doing it and have been for years, there have been alot of lawsuits against alot of labels that have gotten caught. Hanson knows alot more about getting their music on the radio then we do because they have their own label and they know what needs to be done to distribute their music. I don't think they are lying about it.

Songs can be played on radio without pay if it becomes a big enough hit song. But it pretty much has to be a song that is at the top of the charts, probably top 10 or 20 for it to be played, if even then.  That's what I've been told by a radio station when I requested Hanson a few years ago.

I don't know the exact way ti works but I think Hanson does distribute their music quite well to a lot of radio stations all over the U.S. and probably all over the world.

The problem is that many radio stations refuse to play them even when they have their music. That's where requesting them alot plays a major roles in getting them heard.
