   Ok guys, for those of you who were planning to walk on World AIDS Day in Tulsa, we finally have a date set. Because of weather issues we have had to postpone this walk a few times, but that is okay because that means we can recruit more walkers and make more of an impact. We will walk on Friday, December 19th at 3:00pm on TU campus.

Hey guys for more great ways to help change the world while Christmas shopping, check out the HungerSite (www.thehungersite.com). For every purchase from the hunger site, a certain amount of food is donated to people who really need it. or you can just click on a button every day a 1.1 cups of food is automatically donated.

Also their are links to the sites very similar to the hunger site with topics such as animal rescue, literacy, child health, breast cancer, and saving the rainforest.

Also, if you want a fun way to increase your vocab or knowledge of the world countries or you multiplication tables is freerice.com. For every answer you get correct, twenty grains of rice is donated. I gave over 10,000 grains of rice in a single morning!!!

If anyone is interested, I have started a new blog talking about how Hanson has influenced my life and how they have inspired me and helped me figure out who I am and where I am going in life.

Taking the Walk

ok so there are two really good points here...

1) People should walk because it is is walk!!! It is not about Hanson, it is about the cause.

2) those of you who have hosted your own walks have probably realized, most of the people don't walk unless their is a possibility they are getting something out of it, like a conversation with the band or a show later. In order to make the biggest financial impact, we need more people and it looks like the only way to do that is give those selfish people something to walk for.

I see both points and I personally walk for the cause, though I have talked to Isaac a couple times on the walk about what I am doing here about it and how they inspired so many people. An event the day of would be fun, but I think that the real reasons behind the walk should really shine through on the event.

I just want an hour to sit down and have coffee with them. I would love to have an hour of their undivided attention to just talk to them. (I hope from that we could become friends but just because they understand some of the things I am going through and because I have baan a fan for so long, talking to them would be amazing.)

I received TOMS Holiday Guide in the mail today and Hanson is featured in a photo with the interns. Just thought I would share!

yea starbucks is pretty awesome when it comes to this... if you get more than 10 starbucks employees to attend an event starbucks will pay for their volunteer time to the cause.. it is pretty cool

I am right there with you . For my walk in Tulsa in October, my boyfriend, me, and one other person walked. But the point of the walk isn't to get as many random people as possible. It is about showing that you have the passion and the determination to take action even when it isn't the popular thing to do. I think that is how we can seperate those walking for the cause and those walking to get picture of Hanson.

i honestly think zac would be more flattered that disgusted... I think he is really hot!!!

i am so ready to be off to Miami

the fireworks were a group of girls that wanted zac to come shoot fireworks off with them. They showed up earlier that day with one of the water bottles 9the ones you can get on takethewalk.net) filled with a huge jello shot. They continued to consume it through the walk, so i think they may have been a bit tipsy by the time doors opened.

I didn't see anything wrong with any of the guys. They all seemed to be enjoying the show. I know my friends and I enjoyed it. We were front row (got in line at six AM) right in front of Ike and we had an incredible time. It didn't matter that we had only had about four hours of sleep in 2 days, all of our energy levels shot through the roof when Hanson came on. Issac seemed to enjoy it because he kept laughing at us (courtney did the running Man... during running man) and glancing our way. By far the best concert ever.

ps: I didn't have anyone pushing me or trying to get my spot!!! FANTASTIC!!!!
