Are the people who stay behind or just show up okay with like 100 or more people getting their places back in front of them?

It's ridiculous that people stay behind, there is no reason to. Everyone should go on the walk because it's for a good cause and for each walker, Hanson donates $1 to building a clean water well or getting an HIV+ woman medication, whatever it is you check off. After the walk you just organize the line by numbers and everything should work out okay. No one's going to get mad at anyone if everyone gets back in line where they were. If someone shows up at the venue while everyone is taking the walk and then 200 plus people get in front of them, they have no right at all to get mad, and if they understand the situation, they shouldn't get mad. They weren't numbered and they didn't walk.

Mostly everyone walks. I'd say 99% of the campers/numbers walk.

You still have to get there early for Pass the Line, because usually whoever did Pass the Line is probably numbered, and the fans will organize themselves by number in the PTL line.

umm....my friends and co-workers think I'm crazy for sleeping on the streets of Baltimore to camp out for front row...with the giant "cat sized" rats. NO joke. They really were that big. What the heck is wrong with me? lol. I do think I'm crazy sometimes. But it is worth every second! I wouldnt trade any of my Hanson experiences. Heck, I wouldnt get to travel if it wasnt for Hanson! lol :-)

Hey, I camped for Baltimore too - I must've met you there! What a ridiculous night, all those homeless guys...

Haha, it wasn't terrible - I know the city (especially the Times Square area) pretty well because I've lived in New York my whole life - we live in the suburbs, 30 min. north of Manhattan...and two of my best friends live there so I wouldn't have been totally screwed - although the no phone thing was really what terrified me because I wouldn't have a way to reach anyone. I missed the last train going to NJ (where I go to school) so I just told the cab driver to take me to Grand Central and had to borrow a girl's phone on the train and to tell my mom to pick me up because I was coming home for the night. This morning I had to take a cab to the station, a train to Grand Central, two subways to Penn Station, a train back to school, then walk 20 min. from the station to my dorm room, then go to class - haha.

As I was wandering around Manhattan at midnight last night by myself trying to figure out how to get home with no cell phone and only $20 in my pocket, the thought did cross my mind. I'm sitting here with a pounding headache, a midterm and 5 page essay due on Thursday and I still have 4 more shows to do this week alone... it really is insane. Sometimes I wonder why I spend so, so much money and time on this band, but when I see them live I know exactly why I do it. The amount of time and money I'll have spent traveling for them after my shows are over is going to be enormous, but I know every time they play something like "Lay Me Down" live it's because it's the closest I can get to living right there in their music. It might be insane and ridiculous to spend all the money and go to that many shows, but in my mind it is so, so worth it and I wouldn't have it any other way. It might be crazy, but that's okay with me.

I spend a good portion of my summer job money on Hanson and I rarely treat myself to anything like new clothes or bags or anything unless I really need it. Fortunately my parents are pretty good with paying off my credit card if I run over and I just pay them back as soon as I can.

It is really, really stressful though. A lot of times I wish I had more money to spend on things like going out to dinner with friends.

I'm 19 and a sophomore in college so it's not like I'm truly living on my own with a real job yet, lol - so I can "afford" to do all of this and "get away" with it. What happens is I usually just blow a LOT of money all at once and then when it's over, on my next break from school, go home and do a lot of babysitting or lots of things just to have some extra cash.
