Diiys Fest is a non profit festival that will take place January 2009 in Wilmington, NC. It is dedicated to raising money to help build water wells in Africa. The festival is also in honor of our best friend and brother, Jesse Brittan Myers, who passed away earlier this year. He was the heart and soul of this fundraiser and is now fulfilling it through us. The Festival will be a line up of some of the best bands in the Charlotte and Wilmington area, including Jesses band PEOPLE. There will also be local art, jewelry, and clothing available at booths set up around the stage. Again, every penny raised will go straight to the charity. Absolutely none of it will go in our pockets! If you would like to donate any art (paintings, photographs, sculptures) please feel free to, and it would be much appreciated! Help spread the word... People helping People.

 

and the date for the event is January 30, 2009 at a place called Soapbox

 this is something that is close to me as well.. a good friend who was like a brother to me passed away earlier this year and he actually set up a widget on the band website(he was in my brother's band) to help raise money to build water wells in SA. and that is continuing with his ex girlfriend setting up a music festival/charity to raise money for the cause in honor of Jesse cause it was something close to his heart.

 you seem very ungrateful for what you did get.. and that is selfish.. there are hanson fans out there that can't even go to one concert.. you should be happy that you got to go to the members only event. i was at MONA last year and my group was like 20 people for the pic with hanson.. we didnt' get a chance to talk to the guys cause they still had to do a second session for the fans outside. i was happy with what i got.. that whole trip was amazing. i wouldn't complain. it just makes you look like  a bad fan to hanson.
