Well once you've picked your date you should go on to takethewalk.net and log in to your host profile and enter all the details about your walk and a description of it. And then it'll go live a few days later on TTW so everyone can see it. You will get your walk kit in the mail if you haven't already, and it will have your stickers and poster. You will need to go onto TTW to print out the sign up sheets for the event and take them with you to the walk so people can register. After your walk, you will mail the sign up sheets to Hanson.

^ I would definitely get in touch with your local newspapers. :) Before the walk I hosted last month, I emailed all the papers here in Calgary (the major papers, the free commuter papers, university and college papers), and we ended up having a reporter and photographer come out. They interviewed us and took pics, and we ended up on the front page of the paper. (The link to the online article is in my siggy). Anyways, it was pretty cool and tons of people saw it. :) So I would contact them, you never know what might happen! :) Best of luck with your walk, guys! :)

I heard Rockin Around The Christmas Tree in the grocery store the other day, and I was stoked! :) I love hearing Hanson in stores at this time of year.

I heard them on the radio for the first time back in May of 97. I loved MMMBop the very first time I heard it,  and I wrote down what I could make of the lyrics in hopes that I would hear it on the radio again and be able to figure out who sang it so I could get their CD. It didn't take long for MMMBop to come on the radio again and I learned that it was sung by three brothers named Hanson. :) I begged my dad to take me to the CD store so I could pick up the album, which I absolutely loved. I spent the rest of that summer making treks to the grocery store to pick up the latest Bop or BB or Teen Beat magazine, and sitting watching Much Music and waiting for Hanson to come on. :) I loved them right from the start and I have ever since. :)

You can sign up and get the kit anytime in the year. Like, i didn't sign up until September of this year and they sent me the 08 kit right away. So you'll get the kit whenever you join, it doesn't have to be the first of the year.

When Mal and I hosted our walk, we both did speeches. :) It was a nice reminder of why we were walking, and nice for any onlookers to hear about what we were doing.

Honestly, getting presale tickets is a TINY part of being in the fan club. The online content is awesome. The FUTYs the guys put out for fan club members only are worth it alone, to me. <3 There's tons of stuff. The forums on the members side are really nice and very active. :) And you get access to exclusive merch. There is a lot of stuff. It's really very worth it. Do it, you won't regret it. :)
