well i hadnt had any real food for 48 hours... basically i had an appointment at the hospital early in the morning for a non stress test because my son was overdue.. and hadn't had breakfast. WELL they decided that they should start enducing me.. since they didnt know how long it would take to get the contractions started and how strong they'd come on.. well i was just told not to eat period. I could only have fluids and crackers.. and i had my fill of juice and ice water and saltines so i asked if i could have frosties.. the doc said yes.. and my mom volunteered to go get em for me. 2 days later i had a baby boy AND a dozen frosties in my system, so i was happy. |

i love frosties.. when i was in labor (Which lasted almost 24 hours) my mom kept going to wendy's down the street so i could have frosties. i must have had a dozen! I dont know why they give you straws either... i've always eaten them with a spoon.. ps.. I know how to make them homemade.. a lot cheaper. |

im on the coastal border of maine.. near portsmouth.. i was thinking since i live in a city in a quiet area of the city that we could just do a walk around the block.. maybe even walk into downtown and get coffee at the coffeehouse, i dunno.. what kind of havoc can us hanson-ites cause? |

im just curious.. im interested to see how many people in new england might turn up to do a walk in my neck of the woods because i'm too poor to really travel anywhere more than half an hour from here. I live in coastal NH and am curious how many people from my area might show up.. if i decided to host one... how many people would actually show up? |

i like that idea.. im down for it.. you can im me on aim.. bluefretspecial... i play guitar and am a singer/songwriter as is my husband (also a fan) and he plays guitar and the keys. hit me up on aim and we'll discuss. (maybe releasing online like on a website or something would work better? then you wouldnt have to pay for the discs, and if people wanted to burn the songs onto a disc themselves they could?) |

alright you know what? if you dont want to see the opening band.. dont get to the show until an hour or 2 after the doors open. The way it tends to work in the indie world is a band says "hey this a cool band who sent us their cd.. i like them .. so i'm going to have them tour with me as an opener because i want them to have the same ammount of exposure I do and give them a chance to be heard by a broader audience so that they can build a bigger fanbase." as far as a venue curfew, it couldhave to do with the district that that particular club was in, it might have had to do with the building. if there are apartments in that building obviously the music has to stop sooner rather than later as to not disrupt the tenants, and really NYC most places and venues DO have apartments over their club. I DO know a little something about this as my husband and i are both musicians. ALSO most bands don't learn of a time cutoff for the venue until that night. That means the schedule had already been made, the tickets printed, and it would probably piss more people off if the doors opened earlier and they missed some of the show due to an early opening as opposed to just leaving things the way they are and having to shorten things. |

... whoever said doing tays haircut would be hard is crazy.. i do my own hair and my hubby's hair all the time.. its actually harder to go bald or really short... than it is to give him a nice layered looking cut (when its really short you can leave a bald spot.. done it before.. felt AWFUL) ALSO layered haircuts are easier to hide mistakes on.. lol. |

i dont know if i commented on this one already but... cmon.. seriously.. having a late night with the hanson guys is what it's all about, and honestly, how many concerts have you been to where if there were 2 opening acts and the doors opened at 7, did you actually see the main band BEFORE 10? Bands need time to set up their gear and switch gear between sets. You would probably be horrified by the ammount of time it takes my husbands band to set up.. (a solid 45 minutes AT LEAST! and that doesnt include the soundcheck) and i agree with what most people have said in that you should have planned your time better. YOU should have gotten work off the following day or YOU should have made plans for transportation to get you where YOU needed to go. Let me remind you that YOU attending that show was optional. They were going to play with or without you. THEY are not your babysitters. You're a grownup, you can handle making plans, and if you can't, don't go. I'm sick of stupid people blaming their idiocy on other people. |

dude... i used to feel exactly the way you did.. it was especially frustrating cause i had a ton of guy friends.. not by choice.. i WANTED all of them.. but they thought of me as a friend and it was soo aggravating. they were all sexy and rawr.. ::mutters:: BUT there are guys that are great. When you find a good guy they wont be a jerk and they'll treat you like Gold. I was so glad when i met my hubby and he didnt say "dude we should hang out and jam!" and instead said "can.. i ... have your number? email.. aim? er.. " i was like "wait you like me?!?!" i literally said that...and got all excited.. lol trust me i swore i'd have either become a nun... or a cat lady... and would never go gay cause chicks are just too damned annoying (no offense) BUT i couldnt be happier... married with a kid now. |

yknow for all the whining going on here.. you should know... most of us who have been fans for 11 years and gone to twice as many shows or more than you.. a lot of us have still not even had a picture with them.. so consider yourself lucky and stop complaining. |
