I was just wondering when you guys were in high school what kind of projects you used Hanson in. Like this year I have written and interpretive essay on "Georgia" and used "Tearing It Down" and "Georgia" in a chemistry lab safety video. What kind of stuff have you all done? *~Sara~* |

I haven't done anything like that for school, though I suppose I could have. --------------------------------------- (From 'Toys')Leslie Zevo: In the words of Mahatma Gumby, "We are toys of tolerance, but there's only so much that a toy can tolerate." Never had an official H.net M&G |

I used lyrics from "Down" in an essay I wrote about Hamlet...I remember my teacher writing, "I don't see how this relates."
Oh, well. I got an A anyway, haha. :)

I wrote about them for my English class in an essay about myself. My teacher was like "This is about you, not Hanson" lol. And I'm going to write about them in my article for my Journalism class. |

Well I am in High School and haven't really had any projects yet, but believe me, when I do it will be about Hanson...
In all my other years I wrote all my essays about Hanson, etc; |

In all of my art classes I've done Hanson lol. I've made a "The Music Lives" jewellry box, designed Hanson merchandise stores, and one time we had to make a CD cover...naturally I made mine Hanson.
We also had to write something on our hero, and I did all three of the guys :)
And in music we always have to talk about our influences. So...lol
~~~~~~~~~~~ Aussie Hanson fan for life...actually, nearly all of my life. Since I was 4! <3 |
I wasn't a fan of hnason until after I graduated. So,nothing. I loved MMMBop while I was in High School. I didn't know much about Hanson then. Not until later on.
I never did do anything Hanson related in high school or regular school in general. But in my freshman year of college, I was going to present a speech that involved Hanson. It was going to revolve mostly around their Strong Enough to Break documentary. At the time, it was all just on my ipod and I didn't know how I would be able to use that as a source. I also needed more info and I guess I could have actually talked more about their career before their problems with their old record company of course...I really do regret not doing the speech about them. Of course the speech I wanted to do about them involved me not really saying who I was doing the speech about until the very end. SO I really don't think I could have shown video and what not.
*Ashley* I find hope and it gives me rest |
I have used their names in stories and stuff.
And, last year when I had to write an autobiography about myself, they were on my Heroes page.
I'm only a freshman, so I'll probably have many more instances where I'll use lyrics and stuff, lol.
*Rebecca* I love Morgen and Cass! |
Once, we had to bring in a song, have the class listen to it, and talk about what it meant. I brought The Walk.
"I was originally going to put horns in this song, but I decided that the fire alarm would sound better." - Zac, just before singing Lulla Belle in Edmonton |
i had to write a piece of coursework, and it was creative writing, i didnt intentially start writing about hanson, but as i was writing my story, the lyrics from 'being me' sorta became entwined with the evolving story and it ended up with the lyrics as a base another time, i was in RS ans we hadta bring is something that meant a lot to us, and i founs letters that my auntie had written to me when i was a babt, and she called me her dream girl, obviously the letters were too private to ake in to school, so i took the song lyrics for 'dream girl' in, and merged the two, my letters and hanson :) |
Last year in my AP Human Geography class we had to do an end of the semester project, and we could really choose any topic, as long as we could connect it to the class. I choose to research celebrities, and how some use their fame and status for good or bad things. So I focused on Hanson for all the Africa stuff they've done recently, played a few songs in the background and actually had a few of my classmates come up to me after and ask me what the song names were! Ha!
Oh, and just for the record- I got an A. Thank you Hanson! Rachel :) |
The only thing I can think of is when I was 11 and they just came out I would bring their books to school and read them for silent reading time. I am almost posative I had to have written a report or something of the sort on them back then too! Fan since '96 Des Moines 11/5/2008 |
I titled my college essay "Rock 'N Roll Razorblade". But I didn't talk about Hanson at all. If you know the poem Watch Me Bleed, it's basically like that... only I didn't know about that poem before I wrote it. Creepy B-] <3M&G<3 <3Carrick&Me<3 |
