i think it's a FANTASTIC (although tragic) movie...i think it won like 3 oscars and was critically acclaimed. has anyone else seen it? i love how it mixes historical realistic fiction with fantasy...like how the faun could either be a figment of ofelia's imagination or reality. the downside to this movie for me is the violence. i didn't really care to see so much blood! and a lot of the blood wasn't really necessary to the storyline (i.e. the rabbit hunters), although it did bolster the image of captain vidal as a cruel monster. _____________________________________ Isaac: I want to punch Zac in the face very often. |

I love that movie, though the ending leaves it so open to interpretation....
if you liked that movie you should watch "Mirrormask" <3 Jamie

if you liked that movie you should watch "Mirrormask" the movie is pretty much based on a girl who's life was in a circus and how one night she gets trapped in this fantasy like world and she's trying to get back to the "real world" because he mother is sick.
I really can't say much without giving away a lot of the essential parts of the plot, It's an interesting "fairy tale" like movie with some interesting twists...very artistically driven...
You just have to watch it, :) <3 Jamie

I saw it. It was great. But I agree with the violence...normally I don't mind but some parts actually made me turn away. Like the bottle beating... o_o *shudder* |

One of my all-time favorite movies! I LOVE Guillermo del Toro. I highly recommend "The Orphanage" by him. Same kind of idea where it's up to the viewer to fingure out what's going on. I love movies that don't spell every little thing out for you. *Jocelyn* Fan since '97 Massachusetts / Iowa *Jocelyn* MA. RI. CT. IA. WI Never had a M&G or reporter |

I own the DVD. I've only watched it once since I bought it. I didn't care for the violence either.
