What does hat actaully mean for the future of America (the most hated part of the world at the moment, so there is immense pressure that whoever takes the position of president has to tidy things up and polish the image of America)?

We’ve been in Japan for 60 years”... probably happy because it's NOT HIS LIFE ON THE LINE, IT'S THE LIFE OF OTHERS THAT DON'T DESERVE TO BE THERE. The FUNNY PART OF THE WHOLE AMERICAN DRAMA is Palin claiming that it was "God's Plan"... AMERICA COULD HAVE PREVENTED THE WHOLE WAR!!! BUT IT CHOSE NOT TO BECAUSE IT WAS AFTER SOMETHING BIG!!!

.... is like saying YES TO EXTREME TORTURE because he is a candidate who recently VOTED AGAINST HR 2082, the Intelligence Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2008, which included provisions that WOULD HAVE PREVENTED the CIA from WATERBOARDING PRISONERS (a form of TORTURE)

.... is like saying YES TO ABU GHARAIB and INHUMAIN ACTS OF CRIME being held AGAINST THOSE WHO HAVE DONE NOTHING WRONG BUT FIGHT FOR THEIR OWN COUNTRY.

.... is like saying YES TO WORLD WAR 3 even though America has an UNFINISHED AND LOST WAR IN ITS OWN HANDS! A MESS THAT IS TOO BIG FOR IT TO ADMITT THAT THEY LOST!! And the best part is - THE WORLD KNOWS IT!!

McCain is quiet literally a JOKER! And that Sarah Palin is just being played as a card. McCain never gave a damn about women! His party called Hilary Clinton a, and I quote, "BITCH!!" And what is his response - LAUGHTER!!! There is NO RESPECT, no such thing as respect whatsoever! That act alone cost him the loss of female votes. So what does he do to regain them? Puts up an UNEXPERIENCED FORMER-BEAUTY  - now keeping in mind that she is supposed to be in charge of the White House when it is in danger, was she the best move? The answer is clearly a NO. But for those stupid and blind enough to see that she was just given the position for winning back female votes. If we are to talk of the PROFESSION itself... the woman lacks it majorly. And for a role that big to play - a FAR TO BEIG A RISK that it verges on UNACCEPTABLE, DANGEROUS! McCain is a PLAYER!!

America needs to get back up on it's feet.

MCCAIN can NOT win! Well, he probably can because it still fascinates me that Bush managed to hang on for 8 years! But if McCain wins, he wins unfaithfully and dishonestly. People inside the cycle will be playing about with the votes and make him win.

And that's another reason why not to vote for McCain - CONNECTION WITH BUSH

The very day Hurricane Katrina struck New Orleans - what did McCain do? EAT HIS BIRTHDAY CAKE with president Bush! While OTHERS STUCK IN NEW ORLEANS FACING DEATH AND UNBEARABLE CONDITIONS... McCain IS HAPPY nad CELEBRATES HIS BIRTHDAY! POSES FOR CAMERAS ALONGSIDE PRESIDENT BUSH. ALL SMILES. BUT WHAT ABOUT NEW ORLEANS?!!! IT DIDN'T MEAN A THING TO THEM!! And on the day that the Republicans were to start their campaign, it was the same day that the another hurricane struck New Orleans. What did they do? Continue with the show! That's how much they care!! WHY VOTE FOR A PRESIDENT THAT DOES NOT CARE ABOUT HIS OWN PEOPLE? IF PEOPLE IN HIS LAND ARE SUFFERING, WHY IS IT SO HARD TO SHOW RESPECT?!! Something as little as postponing that advertisment for one day would have been enough - but no!! IF AMERICA IS TO VOTE FOR A PRESIDENT, IT HAS TO VOTE FOR A PRESIDENT THAT UNDERSTANDS SUFFERING!! MCCAIN WAS PLACED BEHIND BARS SO HE SHOULD KNOW - BUT FOR SOME REASON, HIS HEART IS TOO COLD TO FEEL ANYTHING!! IS THAT THE SORT OF PRESIDENT THAT AMERICA WANTS!!?! IF SO, THEN YOU SHOULD HAVE KEPT PRESIDENT BUSH!! BECAUSE MCCAIN IS NO DIFFERENT FROM HIM!!

Baring in mind, AMERICA NEEDS TO MAKE THE RIGHT CHANGES. INTERNATIONAL REPUTATION IS RUINED. IF AMERICA EVER WANTS TO GET BACK UP ON ITS FEET IT NEED TO MAKE THE RIGHT CHANGES!

ENOUGH OF 8 YEARS OF REPUBLICANS!! HAVEN'T THE 8 YEARS SHOWN YOU ALL SOMETHING!!?!!

The main reason that Obama should not be president is that he is unaccomplished. He  has been groomed to campaign and hasn't spent any time in Illinois doing work in the Senate. (And if anybody knows about how shady and corrupt Illinois politics are, they are the lowest of the low). He was sworn in January 2006. He has spent pretty much all of that time campaigning.

Seriously guys, the man has a gift for speaking. He's a fantastic orator. People listen to him as if in some sort of hypnotized spell, but nobody with half a brain must be listening to what he is saying. The man is a freakin' Socialist. He is too far Left Wing to appease the American public. That and since congress is filled with Democrats, our system of checks and balances will collapse and Washington will conduct business essentially veto free.

I could go on, but bottom line is: Democrats keep such an open mind their brains are leaking out.

I don't necessarily agree with McCain on everything, but choosing him would be the lesser of two evils.

 Once again, don't formulate an opinion based on the actions of others. Didn't your mother teach you anything?

They're over there doing their JOB. What would you know about supporting troops anyway? Unless you're living here in the US seeing your friends being shipped off to fight in a war that they know is bull, created by the worst president in history, however knowing they still must do their job, you know NOTHING about these men and women.

I'm not one to debate on hnet with ignorant people, but I cant stay out of this one.

Ok so pull your heads out of your rears for a minute here and try to hear me out... probably wont happen. My husband is a soldier and he served two 9 month tours in Iraq. He saw his own soldiers get blown up by Iraqis and had a few close calls himself. He is not a bad person, nor did he go over there on a mission to kill. He went over there to do his job. I agree we have a horrible president who made horrible decisions, and unfortunately I don't believe any of the upcoming candidates this election are looking very promising to make much better decisions.

When it comes to our people, our men and soldiers, risking their asses for our freedom, regardless of how they feel about the war, THEY DO DESERVE RESPECT, and a lot of it. I have numerous friends fighting the war in Iraq, away from their wives/husbands and children. You will never know what it feels like to be the one back here in the US knowing what they are going through so please think twice before trashing them.

And what would you know about me to talk to me about that?!! Britain was dragged into this mess created by America - do you honestly think we are happy being involved with you guys. We don't want to be - and don't want to lose more friends as they are being sent there!! Did you know that?! Did you know that I have lost some friends at war?!
