Hey... I think I'm going to register on takethewalk.net and maybe try doing a walk finally, since ive wanted to for awhile. If anyone is from Calgary or around there and wants to help...please do!!!

I also hope we can do it before it gets too cold so we can go barefoot... but we'll see.

I ordered the kit already Mal, so we could use mine. :) I don't have a megaphone, but getting one wouldn't be out of the questions since my husband and I do plan to organize a few walks. 

I'd really like to do the walk before it gets too cold to go barefoot. So many in a month's time? Mid-October-ish? I just ordered my kit a couple days ago, so it won't be here for at least 3 weeks I think the site said.

I like your location ideas. I'd really like to do it somewhere central, like Eau Claire maybe? My husband told his work about it, and they said we could advertise through their company and encourage employees to come, and they may make a donation which would be great! So if we were able to get them involved, it'd be nice to do it somewhere central. :) Calgary tower, Stephen Ave, through china town, etc sounds great. I like all the ideas you guys mentioned actually. :)

Yeah, it says on the site that we have to pick one cause to walk for. I was kind of leaning towards shoes for the first one, cause we'll hopefully be able to do it soon enough that we could go barefoot, and then the barefoot thing really makes sense, you know? But I love all the causes, so we could do any of them. 

Also, on takethewalk.net, there are walks up now from others who have set up walks. Like, if you click on "find a walk" a bunch come up that aren't with Hanson, so it's neat to read through how others are doing theirs.

Okay, I have to get off to school now, but I'll be back later and we can talk some more!!! :) I'm really excited about this! :)

i think the calgary tower to stephen ave to eau claire mighttt be longer than a mile...so we should narrow it down...

That's cool that there are a few of us at Mount Royal! :) I saw a girl there earlier this week with the grey Hanson shirt that says The Walk in the top corner... or maybe it was you, haha! :) 

That would be great! :) Next week I'm only at school on Wednesday and Thursday though... do either of those work for you?

Yeah you're probably right about that (Calgary Tower, Eau Claire, etc) being longer than a mile. We'll have to figure out how to measure it (or estimate it anyways). 

Okay that sounds good! :) Why don't we say... 11:30? Just so we have a little extra time in case we can't find eachother and so we can get out of there early to get to class on time. Let me know if the other girl can make it, and if not we can figure out a different time. 

Also, i was thinking more about your suggestion of holding the walk at Mount Royal, and it might be a really good way to do it. I think it would be easier to get people who are looking on involved, and we'd be able to advertise on campus, like putting up posters and stuff. Maybe we could even see if the student association has a megaphone we could borrow. Anyways, we can talk more about that later. :)
