It is weird we've kind of been 'forgotten'

LOL I'm bumping this up majorly :)

Just wondering, how many times; and where (if you know) have they been to Aust? 

I liked them in 1997/1998 ish but unfortunately; being only 9/10 I wasn't very persistent in following bands or artists. I had a few singles though (although they seem to have dissappeared). It wasn't till about 2002 (when I was 14 ish) that I really actually started to follow  bands/singers. Before then I think I was just too young :| LOL. I wish I had been slightly older as I'd have followed them this whole time HAHA. I only just re discovered them...HAHA.

They need to release the walk here and then come here :D I know they were here in 2005; I saw them on Rove (I think that was then) but didn't think much of it as hadn't heard anything from them in ages, and youtube wasn't around then. LOL. Yay for youtube I was listening to 1997 songs, found them and was curious about recent stuff. I missed a LOT. 

I'm just contemplating atm buying the Walk from online (have already heard some of the songs; but obviously you HAVE to buy it too! I'm not a stingy illegal downloader, although I do like to test first haha)...and I want the bonus DVD thingy but I think it will be about $60 :| if it was released here it would be about $30!! GAAAHH. We seem to be a little out of the loop missing out on a release here!

Just to answer the question about how many times Hanson have been here... now this is thinking back to my childhood lol.

1997: Promo tour in Sydney (maybe Melbourne?)

2000: Promo tour for This Time Around

2004: Acoustic tour for Underneath

2005: Tour for Underneath

 It's been about 3 and a half years. I think we're due.

I'm pretty sure they went to Southland Shopping Centre in Melbourne in 1997 :) so yeah I know of that one haha.

We are definitely due. I wish I hadnt been young when they came out first in a way that i didnt persist, and follow artists long term. so many opportunities to meet...lost :(

I ordered The Walk from JB Hi Fi Camberwell, and it took a good month and it cost me about $40, but it was so worth it.

It's been too long. We are seriously lacking in Hanson-ness...ism....yeah. I don't think they realise that they actually have an Australian fanbase. And that sucks.

When did you order it? Maybe I should order it (and from there too hahahaha); but was that only the single CD or CD and DVD??

Oh and im sure they realise we exist hahaha. otherwise they'd never have come here. its just weird the walks never been released here...

maybe they think we've dropped off the radar...which is so not true lol

 thanks for that, it feels like so long ago i'd almost forgotten what years haha. I saw them in Brisbane for the 2000 promo tour, most crazy experience ever!

the acoustic tour i flew to melbourne to see them, it was such a great experience. 

and then finally they did a real show near me in 05 so it was well worth the wait...

But i really do feel forgotten release wise. It's a bit on the frustrating side.

i only found out that they did an appearance at Westfield in 2001 - I was soooo annoyed that I missed it because I never even heard that they were here, haha. But I was 7 in 1997, so I wasn't paying attention to the news. Plus I was annoyed at my friend who told me she "saw" them when I told her about it... :P

1999-2001 were non-Hanson years for me and I've kicked myself for missing their 2000 appearances, namely The Panel and that show with Molly Meldrum.

So far, it seems it's a 3-4 year cycle for the guys to come back here (I'm joining the 2004/05 tours). We're definitely due for another one next year.

I've been hanging out to see then for a while too. I only became a fan again in 2007 so I missed the 04 and 05 tours. I couldn't see them coming back to Aus anytime soon just because they all have very young families now and probably wouldn't want to be dragging them overseas.

Do most people have a copy of The Walk here? I got mine for $34 of a local record store... It's the U.S. version too which has way better bonus tracks if you ask me. I've Been Down may actually be the best song ever written haha.

I don't have a copy of the walk yet...so expensive to get and i havnt had money for ages cuz iv saved for a laptop and a trip to adelaide and thats made me broke for like a year hahahaha. only just getting money back so buying it soon.

How did that place sell it??? lol.
